Alan Speck Named the Director of Mortgage Origination for Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union

Germantown, MD –  Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union (MAFCU) has named Alan Speck to be their new Director of Mortgage Origination.  With almost 30 years of mortgage loan experience, Speck will be responsible for managing and directing the business development efforts for MAFCU's well-seasoned mortgage loan division.

"I am extremely excited about the opportunity to join what I would consider Montgomery County's premier credit union.  Our division is made of knowledgeable mortgage expert with over 250 years of combined mortgage lending experience.  We share the vision of growth and expansion, working to insure that MAFCU continues to be widely recognized by our members, prospective members and real estate partners as a reputable and equitable mortgage lending institution."  For over 20 years, MAFCU's mortgage loan department has saved its members approximately $300-$500 in closing costs and other fees compared to banks and mortgage companies.  "Passing along consistent savings is paramount to our value added approach to our members," states newly appointed Speck.

Prior to joining the Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union, Speck was the CEO and Director for Sunset Capital Mortgage, President and Managing Member of Elite Mortgage Capital, LLC, and the Executive Vice President of Wholesale and Retail Origination for Aurora Loan Services in Littleton, Colorado.

Speck earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
