MAFCU offers a choice of an HMO or POS for medical insurance and prescription benefits, as well as dental and vision coverage. We offer a variety of benefit premium levels to best match our employee's personal needs. MAFCU provides 401(k) retirement benefits to all permanent employees. The company matches 100% up to 2% of compensation. MAFCU will provide up to 100% tuition reimbursement for approved undergraduate and graduate level courses, provided that at least a grade of "C" is earned. Full-time and part-time employees can participate in this tax savings benefit through payroll deduction. This plan helps to cover the cost of dependent care, insurance premiums, and medical expenses not covered by insurance with pre-tax dollars. MAFCU provides Life insurance at no cost to full-time employees. This insurance provides a benefit of 2 times the employee's annual compensation to the designated beneficiary in the event of accidental death. MAFCU provides AD&D insurance at no cost to full-time employees. This insurance provides a benefit up to 2 times annual compensation to the covered employee or beneficiary in the event of accidental death or dismemberment. MAFCU provides Travel Accident insurance at no cost to full-time and part-time employees. This insurance provides a benefit up to $25,000 and covers the employee 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. MAFCU provides short-term and long-term disability benefits at no cost to full-time employees. These plans provide income to employees as they recover from a covered illness or injury. MAFCU offers full-time employees in their first 3 years of employment 19 days of PTO per year. The number of PTO days increase with years of service. Part-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for PTO as well and they earn PTO at half the rate of full-time employees. MAFCU observes 11 holidays per year. Full-time employees are paid for 8 hours and part-time employees are paid for 4 hours. MAFCU recognizes that employees may need time to grieve the loss of a family member or plan funeral arrangements. Full-time and part-time employees are eligible for up to 5 days of bereavement leave. MAFCU provides a wellness reimbursement of $300/year to full-time and $150/year to part-time employees for gym memberships and other wellness programs. Although MAFCU maintains a professional work environment, employees are permitted to wear a MAFCU logo shirt and casual slacks on Fridays and Saturdays.
